If you work in the City of Chicago and you have been fired, demoted, experienced a change in your work circumstances…or not hired in the first place…due to what you believe is a discriminatory practice (i.e. based on your race, religion, sex, national original, disability) or action by your employer or potential employer…you can file to have that adverse action investigated by four different governmental agencies: The Chicago Commission on Human Relations; The Cook County Commission on Human Rights; The Illinois Department of Human Rights and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
